Jains have neither oppressed and neither encouraged LGBT in history.
Transgenders have been considered god’s people in India as a support mechanism and have never been oppressed but they don’t typically come from intelligent communities. They have just existed, have been accepted and they live in their community.
Gays have not been supported in society as parents wouldn’t want their genetic lineage dying, and as it destroys conservative family structure.
Much of support for LGBT globally in recent times comes because many conservative cultures have oppressed them historically, so its kind of a course correction, besides that it aligns with sustainability goals due to a number of reasons. Jains cannot support the degeneracy and many other aspects that comes along with modern LGBT liberalism movement. Adoption of children by LGBTs is out of question.
Evolutionary understanding of Homosexuality : In Leftist (liberal) evolutionary environment, sex with anyone gave rise to the acceptance to homosexuality.
